On January 8, we introduced our theme for 2012 – ‘F.I.T. for Life’ and the response has been incredible! There is definitely a sense of excitement in the air! I, for one, cannot wait to see what God is about to do at SRBC as we line our lives up with His Word in the physical, spiritual, financial, relational, and emotional areas of our lives.

I encourage you to be open to all that God wants to say to you through His Word this year.

Be FAITHFUL to His Word!  Be faithful in reading it, studying it, listening to it, meditating on it, and memorizing it.

Be INTENTIONAL in your response to His Word.  Apply His Word to your life.

Be TEACHABLE.  Approach the Word with a spirit of humility, asking the Lord to teach you His paths and guide you in His truth (Psalm 25:4-5).

Faithful.  Intentional.  Teachable.  That is what being F.I.T. for Life is all about.  Join us this year as we pursue becoming a church that is F.I.T. for Life in every aspect of our lives!

By the way, Saturday, February 25, is our next SRBC Family Gathering at 6:00pm in the Family Life Center.  Come and see all that God is doing at SRBC! Meet our new members, get a sneak peek at VBS 2012 and hear from Paul and David about our new family approach to our Kids and Student ministries.  It is going to be an evening you will not want to miss!

One last thing:  On January 8, we also kicked off our Biggest Winner Competition challenging people to shed the pounds and get in shape in 2012.  We had over 120 people sign up!  Be in prayer for those who have taken the challenge!
