$20 per ticket. Pack a picnic lunch and save money for supper on the way back home. Depart at 8:45am and return around 8:00pm. Parents are encouraged to attend; however, one parent must attend if a child is in grade 2 or younger. Sign-up at the Welcome Center. 29 spaces available – so hurry!

Our Youth are in need of additional volunteers beginning this fall. We are looking for individuals that are youthful at heart and are available to fill several positions. This fall we will need 4 additional Bible Study teachers at the 9:09 hour AND 4 volunteers at the 10:30 hour; plus, 3 to 5 people to assist with Wednesday nights. If there are enough volunteers, there could possibly be a rotation schedule for all activities. If interested, please contact Stacy Austin (704-302-7919) or sign-up at the Welcome Center.

The Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry’s HealthCare Services is in need of travel-sized toothpaste, toothbrushes, and disposable razors for its shower ministry. If you would like to donate these items, drop them in the special basket at the Welcome Center.

CCM HealthCare Services has opportunities for professional volunteers to help in the local free clinic drawing blood, performing lab work and other functions providing health care to the uninsured popuation of Catawba County. A workshop is being held in Morganton on August 14 from 9:00am until 3:30pm. The Awana Conference at Ridgecrest will be Sept. 25; more info on this event will be available at a later date.
